GRAND RAPIDS, MI: Con el propósito de promover la salud en la comunidad y en los negocios, la Cámara de Comercio Hispana del Oeste de Michigan (WMHCC) brinda apoyo financiero a los negocios minoritarios para contribuir a pagar el sueldo a los empleados que han dado positivo al COVID-19, a través de los Fondos de Unidad.

Michael Moore says virus prevents film festival for 2nd year

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., April 30, 2021 (AP): The Traverse City Film Festival is being canceled for the second consecutive year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, president Michael Moore said Friday.


WHAT As more people receive the COVID-19 vaccination, Cleveland Public Library is easing restrictions to enhance the visitor experience. 

CLEVELAND: The 45th Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF45 Streams) has come to a close after a two-week online run, April 7 – 20, 2021, during which it showcased 117 feature films and 182 shorts films, representing 63 countries. CIFF45 Streams is proud that 46% of its films – including 49% of its feature films – were directed by female-identifying filmmakers.

The Arts Commission launches ‘The Momentum Festival Mural Project Call for Artists’

The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo’s Art in Public Places Program is soliciting qualifications from artists who specialize in producing large-scale murals to beautify sections of Water Street and the Downtown Toledo concourse tunnel system as part of the fifth year of the Momentum Festival.

Saibai Island masks, like this 19th-century example, are among the rarest and most spectacular works of historical art created by the indigenous artists of the Torres Strait Islands, located between the northern coast of Queensland, Australia, and the southern coast of Papua New Guinea. Torres Strait Islanders, along with Aboriginal Australians, have among the oldest continuous cultures in the world, with a legacy of tens of thousands of years.
